Sugar Land Therapist
My name is Joy Lee, and I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at The University of Texas at Austin in 2019, and I earned my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Houston Baptist University in 2021. Associate under the supervision of Dr. Hope Pamplin, LPC-S. I was born in South Korea and moved to Houston, TX in 2006. I am bilingual and speak English and Korean fluently. I am excited to meet and learn about different cultures through counseling.
I am passionate about working with children, adolescents, couples, and families to help them grow mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Throughout my counseling practice, I have worked with different populations on topics including stress, trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, self-esteem, identity, anger management, relationships, and communication skills.
My greatest interest lies in the individual’s well-being, and as a counselor, I ensure to facilitate a safe environment for exploration, support, and discovering internal and external strengths and resources to overcome challenges. I am honored to be a part of your life’s journey and I look forward to walking together in your journey of growth and change!
“And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Counselor to be with you forever – the Spirit of truth…
But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.”
